New pages, fixes, and anything Meridian got wrong, dated and newest first. Written for the people who use it rather than copied from the code.
The privacy page promised too much
It said a pasted message was not kept beyond the request and not used for training. Anthropic’s terms rule out training but do not promise deletion, so the page and the note under the paste box now say so, and name Upstash, which counts requests.
Twelve city pairs have a page of their own
London to New York, Dubai, Sydney and nine more each have a page that opens on the hours both cities share, and says how the gap moves when the clocks change. Every time on them is checked against the same code the globe runs.
Three accessibility fixes
An automated sweep of every state found the note under the paste box too faint to read, the embed without a main heading, and two top-level headings on every page. All three are fixed, and the sweep now finds nothing.
Stricter security headers
Meridian now tells your browser to load nothing but its own files, the same policy the other tools already had.
Google Analytics removed
Until 17 September, Google Analytics received each page’s full address, which on Meridian holds the cities, date and time you were planning. It has gone. Visits are now counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and is sent the page path only.
A more accurate sun
The sun’s position now allows for the equation of time, which moves solar noon by up to about a quarter of an hour either way across the year. Before this, the light on the globe could be out by that much.
Meridian launched
Add up to six cities, drag the sun around the globe and see who is at their desk, for a meeting of the length you choose. Paste a time someone suggested by email and Meridian finds it for you.
