Almost nothing happens here.

Every time on the page - each city's clock, the overlap, the daylight on the globe - is worked out in your browser from the timezone database it already ships with. None of it is sent anywhere. The cities you pin, the date, the time and the meeting length live in the address bar, which is how sharing a link works; nothing is written to storage on your device and nothing is kept when you close the tab.

If you use "Paste a suggestion", that message is sent to Anthropic's API so a model can read what day and time it is proposing. That is the only thing you type that ever leaves your browser. We do not log it, store it or keep any record of it, and it is not used to train anything. It is handled under Anthropic's commercial terms, which means it is not retained beyond serving the request. If you would rather it never left, do not use that tab - the rest of the tool works without it.

The only thing recorded about that request is a count, kept against your IP address for an hour, so one visitor cannot run up a bill for everyone. The count is a number; it carries nothing you typed.

Meridian uses Google Analytics, configured to set no cookies at all (client_storage: "none", advertising features off). It counts five things: a city added, the sun moved, a message parsed, a link shared, an embed taken. Nothing you type is ever part of an event. Because it is cookieless, we cannot tell a returning visitor from a new one - which is a trade we made deliberately, so that the claim at the top of this page is true.

Your IP address reaches Google and Vercel as part of any request to any website, and is used for approximate location and for the rate limit above. We do not store it ourselves.

The embed is the same tool inside an iframe. It sets no cookies and sends nothing to the host page. If you embed Meridian, your visitors are covered by this notice for the frame itself.
